Hackney Town Hall Wedding cake- A chic and modern wedding

Modern and fun was the brief that I received for this couple, and this is a brief that I am so here for! Any couple that wants a fun and creative wedding is a couple that I enjoy working with. I always was told by my couples that planning a wedding is basically an unpaid stressful part-time job, but my mission is to make the process of creating a wedding cake fun and not stressful at all.

The lovely couple came across my business on Instagram, after filling in their enquiry form we scheduled a consultation and me and the bride just clicked. In the consultation, we spoke about having colour as a main element of the wedding cake, the colour scheme was olive green with pops of colour. Abi was a dream to work with, she just trusted me to make her wedding cake and create a gorgeous wedding cake that was modern and fun.

I have always wanted to have my wedding cakes in Hackney Town Hall, I think it is such a chic wedding venue in London that is so underrated. Hackney Town Hall is a fantastic place to get married as it is so well connected transport-wise. Hackney Town Hall is located on Mare Street and can fit up to 300 guests for a seated meal. This venue is perfect for couples that want a modern and city wedding.

THEIR WEDDING CAKE FLAVOURS WERE:

• Vanilla passion; a soft vanilla sponge layered with vanilla buttercream and passionfruit curd

• Lemon elderflower; a fresh and zingy lemon sponge soaked in elderflower topped with lemon buttercream and lemon curd

• Raspberry Ripple (a classic but it is one I no longer off *insert sad face emoji*)
