The brief that they wanted for their wedding cake was quite specific. They desired something simplistic and classic but with a bit of an edge in the design. It intrigued me, and I was more than ready to take on the challenge of creating this unique wedding cake. The couple first got in touch with me through email back in January, which was just six months prior to their wedding date. It was a bit tight, but I do believe that November through January is the most common time for couples to secure their wedding cake for a summer wedding. Speaking from experience, I always recommend booking your wedding cake at least a year in advance. This allows you to avoid the disappointment of finding your preferred wedding cake maker already booked. However, as the wedding was not too far away, we quickly arranged a consultation via Zoom. It was important for me to get to know the couple and understand their vision for their special day. Soon after our consultation, the couple decided to purchase a wedding cake sample box. This was a wise move, as it allowed them to try out the various cake flavours and fillings before making their final decision. I always encourage couples to sample the flavours, as the taste of the cake is just as important as its appearance. Overall, despite the tight timeline, I was confident that I could fulfil the couple's wedding cake wishes. With their input and my expertise, we were set to create a truly memorable and delicious masterpiece for their big day.

I would recommend choosing lemon for a tangy, refreshing wedding cake flavour that adds vibrancy. Ideal for spring and summer weddings, lemon cuts through rich buttercream for a tantalizing taste. What the day was like for the wedding day?
W&M's wedding day was a gorgeous one. The sun was shining and that is why I think June is a fantastic time to get married as summer is starting to make its appearance, and the days are becoming a little longer and warmer. My couple invested in fantastic luxury wedding suppliers and that really did show on the wedding day, it was a seamless wedding day that was so well executed. It was such a lovely friendly environment and was so lovely to see and catch up with some wonderful colleagues in the wedding industry.
Getting Married at Hedsor House

My favourite detail of this wedding venue has to be the highland cows, they are simply adorable. When you enter the venue you are greeted by a vast land of lush greenery. Scattered across the farmland are an adorable herd of fluffy highland cows. I took a trip to the Lake District in 2023, on the hunt for a highland cow, only to find that they were a lot closer to home than I thought!
